Early Career and Visiting Scientists (ECVS) opportunities

We offer the opportunity for early career and visiting scientists to spend between 1 month and 2 years, renewable, at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) in Lyon, France, or at an IC3R partner institution (where possible).

We are excited to share our programme with you.

Our programme offers in-depth exposure to the fast-evolving world of cancer research. Postdoctoral Scientists and Visiting Scientists will join a highly recognized international collaboration for cancer classification and research. The programme also emphasizes the importance of professional development.

Benefits of being an IC3R Postdoctoral Scientist or Visiting Scientist are expanding professional and personal networks, professional development, and immersion in new cultures and disciplines, among many others.

The programme is aimed at Postdoctoral Scientists and Visiting Scientists:

  • Postdoctoral Scientists are university graduates at the doctoral or equivalent level. Enrolment in the programme is full-time and is based at IARC.
  • Visiting Scientists are established scientists with a degree at the doctoral or equivalent level, with an external affiliation, and with seniority (i.e. more than 5 years of postdoctoral experience or demonstrated experience and productivity). They can be hosted full-time, or part-time because of professional obligations.
